Sophie is a young lady with Down Syndrome and Autism who lives in Fremantle, Western Australia. She has an older sister and three older brothers.
Sophie has travelled and lived overseas (in the Philippines for 1.5 years where she and her parents volunteered). One of the best things Sophie loved about living there was riding on the front of the scooter with her head over the front so it felt like she was flying.
Sophie loves extreme sports and high adrenaline activities and on her 18th birthday this year she was able to have a ride on a jetski. What fun! So her family and friends decided to develop a micro business to support Sophie being able to participate in these sort of activities as well as contributing to those in need. She will be donating 10% of the profits in warm socks for the homeless in Fremantle and we will post how she has been able to help here on her website.
With the help of some support workers, Sophie will be labelling and packaging the socks that are sent out to you and working in her business according to her abilities. It is very much a team effort and we have fun as we go.
So, thank you for your support and we hope you enjoy your socks.

Remember how Sophie uses her profit to do high adrenaline activities?
Here she is having been driven at speed around the 13km bush track in the ATV buggy. Whooo hooooooo!
